New cycle racks at the Convent Field and Mountfield Road car park, Lewes

New cycle parking next to the Convent Field in Lewes is already proving popular with visitors to the local area.

Cycle Lewes successfully applied for funding for the rack from the South Downs National Park Trust’s Community Pitch Fund in early 2024. It worked with Lewes District Council to agree on the best location for the rack which can hold up to eight bikes or scooters.

Representatives from Cycle Lewes were joined by members of Lewes Town Council and Lewes District Council to celebrate the installation of the racks in October 2024.

Cycle Lewes is working with Lewes Town Council, Lewes District Council, and local businesses, to install more cycle parking across Lewes, to encourage more people to use their bikes around town.
